Hi, I’m Matty. I’m a qualified personal trainer and gym instructor. My goal is to change my client’s lives and help them become the person they want to be. I train people of all experience and fitness levels. My favourite type of client to work with are new gym goers because that’s where you see the biggest transformations. I help people lose weight, gain muscle and help them to become overall healthier mentally and physically. I enjoy analysing clients and designing diet plans and workout routines to fit their specific requirements.
I’m very passionate about the gym and all the aspects related to it. I started training at the age of 14. At first I didn’t know what to do so I quickly got a personal trainer. This really helped me build my confidence and pretty quickly I was training 5 days a week!
I was 16 when lockdown came around and I had to adapt my training. I wasn’t able to go to the gym but I really didn’t want to stop making progress. I quickly began to research and teach myself as much as I could about home workouts and how to be creative with the equipment I had access to. This is where I really fell in love with fitness. It’s all I thought about in my spare time! As soon as the gyms were back open I was straight back to it with the additional knowledge I have gathered.
I quickly completed my college courses and began working at JD Gyms in Thornton Cleveley’s. This is where I began to grow my business and hone my skills as a personal trainer. I’m very driven and have big plans for the future!
